Sometimes when you add a little magic to something pretty special, you create a wonderous and magical thing! Having had a delightful relationship with The Fish in creating and delivering their five Hideaway Huts this year, we waited with baited breath to find out what they chose to call them. The naming of the Blackdown Shepherd Huts is pure joy, and it always brings a smile to our faces when we find out what they have been called. The names add to their characters even more, and shapes their personalities – yes, shepherd huts have personalities!
We were over the moon to find out that the first hut was named Boaty McBoatFace. Boaty McBoatface has all of the features of the other Hideaway Huts but with a massive twist. Guests staying in Boaty can embark on their own nautical adventure because Boaty comes with its very own paddle boat for them to relax on whilst floating around their own private lake. As if that isn’t enough, couples can pop across to their own private island complete with decking and comfortable seating to enjoy a romantic evening (perfect for proposals, perhaps!)
The other Hideaway Huts are called Snout, Fairy, Snug, and Bottom – just perfect! If you’re a Shakespeare fan, you’ll know these shepherd huts have been named with A Midsummer Night’s Dream in mind. After all, what’s more magical than staying in a handcrafted, luxury shepherd hut, dreaming of wonderful, magical things that take you faraway from all the hubbub of our hectic lives. These luxury, double shepherd huts evoke romantic evenings, dreamy nights gazing at the stars, and long, lazy hot tubs, perhaps with a glass of something bubbly in hand…..
But, wait! As an extra special treat, when you book afternoon tea at The Fish between the 13th-19th August for #nationalafternoonteaweek and you’ll get a golden ticket with an extra surprise inside, including a stay in one of their brand new Hideaway Huts! #afternoontea #treatyoself#whatgoesfirstcreamorjam
