The Fish Hotel in the Cotswolds recently launched their new Hideaway shepherd huts and they truly are beautiful inside and out.  The interiors of the huts were designed by film set designer Marina Morris. She’s Blackdown’s secret weapon for all things interior!

Marina spent nearly twenty years working in the film industry as a set decorator on films and a stylist on television commercials and was asked by us at Blackdown Shepherd Huts to create the Fish Hotel’s new shepherd huts interior design style.

Marina set about creating the interiors of the hut with the intention of them all being different, but at the same time complimentary and sympathetic to each other and their surroundings.

Marina says: ‘The huts all have tones of blues and greens, with a theme of nature and botanicals. In keeping with the Blackdown Shepherd Hut ethos, all fabrics and wallpapers are to be designed and printed in the Cotswolds, so as to use businesses local to the Farncombe Estate where the Fish is located.’

Everything else is made or sourced in the West Country, from Devon Shutters, who use locally sourced wood, to eco-friendly stainless steel showers. Lights are created by Tom Raffield, and the bath is designed by William Holland. Natural Mat provide the organic cotton mattress.

When you take a look inside the Hideaway Huts, you’ll realise that outer beauty pleases the eye, and inner beauty truly captivates the heart.
