We love all our huts – each one has its own style and personality and uses. One of our most treasured huts is the Retreat Hut, which is most like the traditional shepherd huts of yesteryear.

Our wriggly tin hut offering is called our Retreat Heritage Hut as it is based on an old Victorian shepherd’s hut and we feel it really captures the vintage hut look. It’s the perfect size for a playroom, garden room or spare room. We know customers who have used the Heritage Hut as writing dens and meditation rooms. The uses of this cosy space are endless.

As standard the Retreat Shepherd Hut comes with the following: metal chassis and tin cladding; oak steps; hard wood painted windows and doors; oak floor; electrics; light switches and light fittings; internal decoration with Farrow & Ball inspired colours.

A recent addition to the Heritage Hut is the copper roof, which got an amazing response at The Glamping Show. It really is something special when you walk up the oak steps and can look up an and admire the spectacle of copper above you, creating an unusual reflection. We think our Heritage Huts are a place of inspiration, and so do our customers.

Here’s what our customers say:

‘The hut gives us the extra flexibility we need as the grandchildren grow up. We decided that as it was such a long term investment we would fully load it with as many features as we could.  We like having another cosy yet practical space to enjoy the beautiful Devon countryside.’ Bland Case Study

‘We love our shepherd’s hut because it’s just a comfortable and relaying space to be in. They look attractive and blend in well with our countryside. The quality of all the materials from the cast iron wheels to the oak steps are first class.’ Country Retreat Case Study

Our Retreat Hut is always on display at our workshop site in Ilminster, so come and take a look!
