For the past 18 months, our very own Will began a chilling journey of plunging into an ice bath every single day for 5 minutes. He found that starting the day an ice bath calms the mind and can help ease aches and pains over the body. After some time, and revisiting the Blackdown Shepherd Hut mood board, it is time to share our new innovate design to the hospitality market place.
Sauna and Ice Plunge Deck
It has always been a mission of ours to provide luxury spaces that help us connect to the outdoors, slow living and relaxation. For some time, we have had a sauna on our mood board, which became a working project after being inspired by the decking of our Fusion Brace Hut. By using Will’s experience, and combining it with the sheer bliss of a sauna, the fire and ice combination make the perfect outdoor experience.
Inside the Sauna
Measuring 18ft by 7ft 6 inches, the covered deck offers both protection from the elements when you emerge from the sauna and an LED starlit ceiling creating a beautiful evening seating area. There is the option to add a woodburner to the deck instead of the ice bath showcased on the display model.
The sauna element has been built to a very high specification following traditional Finnish Sauna standards and utilising certified Finnish materials. Measuring 8ft by 6ft 6 inches internally and seating 4-6 people, this is a perfect sauna for a glamping or hotel setting, or as an addition to a family house.
