Long before sustainability became a buzzword, Naturalmat was leading the way. Their commitment to the environment goes beyond words, actively working to reduce waste, source responsibly, and give back to the community. In 2023, they became the first UK mattress company to earn B Corp certification. This recognises their dedication to ethical business practices and sustainability.
Sustainable materials for superior comfort
Naturalmat carefully selects materials that are not only comfortable but also environmentally responsible. Their mattresses are made using:
- Organic Wool: Sourced from West Country farms. Their wool is breathable, naturally insulating, and chemical-free, ensuring a comfortable and healthy sleep environment.
- Organic Coconut Fibre: A springy, breathable fibre from coconut husks, coir adds structure and resilience to their mattresses while maintaining excellent airflow.
- Natural Latex: Derived from Hevea Rubber trees, this soft yet supportive material is a sustainable alternative to synthetic foams.
- Recycled Denim: Offcuts from the textile industry are repurposed to create soft and breathable mattress fillings, reducing fabric waste.
- Organic Cotton: GOTS-certified organic cotton is used for bedding, ensuring a natural and toxin-free finish.
