A Blackdown Brace is a pair of huts with the versatility to create your perfect escape.
Our opulent Blackdown Brace Shepherd Hut is two of our hand-crafted shepherd huts joined together with a beautiful glass walkway. Connecting you or your guests to the outdoors whilst moving between the huts.

All of our huts are built to guidelines laid down by British Standards 1647:2023, so you and your family can sleep easy in your hut in the knowledge that we have taken care of all the safety considerations.
Our Brace comes with

Fusion Brace
Our first Brace shepherd hut arrived in the Display Garden in 2016 and since then two further display huts have been in occupation. Each time, we’ve pushed the brace concept a bit further, with the second design being a family brace and then an outdoor bathroom brace, but 2023 heralded a total revamp with the Blackdown Fusion Brace.
We’re fascinated by using clever designs to make the best use of space within the shepherd hut footprint, but this time we’ve gone one step further and married the indoor space seamlessly with the outdoors to really make the most of the outdoor experience that is synonymous with a shepherd hut stay. The Blackdown Fusion is still two shepherd huts joined by a glass walkway, but this time the rear hut is perpendicular to the front hut, creating stylish sleeping and lounging modules. If you wish, you can stop at this point and create your own outdoor area down the steps from the two sets of double doors. But the Fusion really comes into its own with the addition of the Blackdown chassis deck, creating an integrated outdoor area with a covered function area at the end of the deck.
Inside our show hut, the styled interior also includes an entertainment module with the inclusion of Gallo Acoustic Speakers and a mini-bar module with an integrated drawer fridge. The bedroom provides a real focal point with a king-sized bed and full-height headboard, wardrobe and a William Holland Bateau bath.

The Blackdown ‘1121’ Brace Shepherd Hut included our dining area, which with a few movements can be transformed from a cosy carriage-inspired space, to an exciting cinema room with two bench seats turning into two single children’s beds, and a projector and electric screen creating the perfect entertainment.
There’s also a cosy and comfortable seating area, our hand-crafted kitchen for your guests to enjoy some self-contained cooking, and a spacious shower room and WC with lots of opulent features to offer your guests high-end and year-round accommodation. Sleeping up to two adults and two children, it’s an exciting opportunity to offer both a family escape.
