We’re a little bit in love with The Fish in the Cotswolds. We love the Farncombe Estate, its whole set up, and most of all we love that guests love our Blackdown Shepherd Huts. Five our Brace (double) huts became the resplendent Hideaway Huts in Spring this year, and the feedback has been a joy to hear and read.
Possibly the most idyllic couples’ retreats you will find in the Cotswolds: there have been proposals, anniversaries, honeymooners, and those simply seeking a luxurious, cosy, romantic getaway.

‘We stayed here for our first anniversary in Boaty McBoatyface, which has its own private lake access. The huts are beautifully decorated and super cosy. The two huts put together are spacious, there is a compact bathroom with shower, the bed is firm but comfortable and a good size, and the hut has all the amenities you need with nice little touches. There are games inside the foot stool and magazines provided for some light reading, the log burner was great and warmed the hut well. The outside bath needs an hour or two after lighting before it will be ready to use, they pre-fill it with water and wood in the burner ready for your arrival.’

‘The hut itself is beautiful, all the tiny details down to the hot tub, all you could need and more! Absolutely loved the mini fridge with the goodies and the board games. We didn’t want to move from the hot tub so ordered pizzas to our hut, fast delivery and very tasty!’
‘Stayed just for one night as a last minute escape. Chose the Hideaway Hut…..two huts together with lovely outdoor space with hammock, seating area and an amazing outdoor bath tub. Inside was great too, comfort and luxury combined in a compact space. Wanted for nothing. Stocked fridge was a welcome bonus. Peace and tranquillity reigned! Great outdoor seating by restaurant and bar and just wished we could have stayed longer to explore.’
