We’re very excited at Blackdown that the huts for the fantastic Fish Hotel are nearly ready to be delivered. All five of our huts will be in place by this summer for glamping retreat lovers to enjoy!
Our guys in the workshop love what they do, and they’ve thoroughly enjoyed creating these special Brace huts, which are two huts joined together at 18ft x 7.5ft and 16ft x 7.5ft with an interconnecting glazed walkway.

The huts have a solid oak rolling chassis with naturally seasoned, maintenance free oak feather edge – you can’t get more traditional hideaway than this!
The stargazing roof above the bed is framed in oak and completed with a handmade blind. Attention to detail is very much our thing, and we know guests will adore the plantation shutters on bedroom and bathroom windows, the solid oak flooring and added extras such as the Tom Raffield Urchin ceiling light, rope light over mini bar/seating area, Bakelite light switches et on solid oak mounting bases, and the 5ft Naturalmat Coco Bed base with wooden feet, along with a very special medium tension mattress and Naturalmat headboard. This is the perfect resting place after some amazing outdoor time.

To top it all off the Hideaway Huts at The Fish will have a William Holland Bateau bath, with coloured enamel exterior and white enamel interior.
The drinks unit is Shaker Style with an oak worktop and integrated fridge. Yes, glamping lovers, there is a drinks unit! Our L shaped corner sofa with Naturalmat cushions also includes a foot stool, and guests will be able to admire the Tom Raffield Harlyn Mirror and Coat Loop, and relax with the Owen Barry Cube Fluffy pouffee and sheepskins.
Blackdown Shepherd Huts are all about luxury, and as we make the finishing touches to these Hideaway Huts, we can see that guests are in for a truly amazing time.
